Oven Baked BBQ Ribs
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 3 hours
Total Time: 3 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
1 rack baby back ribs. membrane removed
Dry Rub:
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon coarse salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 Tablespoon paprika
3 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
BBQ Sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar bbq sauce
2-3 tablespoons honey
Directions
Preheat oven to 300ºF degrees. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Combine together all the dry rub ingredients and rub onto both sides of the ribs. Wrap the ribs up tightly with the foil. Bake in oven for 2 to 3 hours until the meat is tender and browned.
During the last 5 minutes of cooking time, mix together sauce ingredients.
Turn the oven to broil. Remove ribs from the oven, remove foil and generously brush both sides of the ribs with barbecue sauce. Broil until the sauce just starts to bubble and caramelize, 2 to 4 minutes. Keep a close eye on the ribs while they're under the broiler; because of the sugar in the rub and sauce, they will quickly go from nicely caramelized to burnt. Remove from oven. Brush with more bbq sauce. Slice to serve.
