RECIPES DIY PARENTING KIDS CRAFTS HIRING NOW (JOB BOARD)
This Paper Plate Rainbow Twirler is perfect as a St. Patrick's day craft, or as a spring craft in general (just don't add the shamrocks). This craft is not only fun to make, it's fun to play with by letting your child bring it outside and watch it twirl in the wind.
What you'll need to make the twirler:
paper plate
green construction paper
paint or markers
yarn or ribbon
scissors
tape
How to make a St. Patrick's Day Twirler
Paint a paper plate in rainbow stripes on both the back and front.
Starting from the outside of the plate, cut a spiral all the way to the middle. (The thinner the bands the longer your spiral will be.)
To make the shamrocks, cut 3 hearts out of green paper. You'll need 3 hearts for each shamrock leaf. Glue the points of three hearts together to make a little shamrock.
Glue the shamrock leaves onto the rainbow twirler.
Tape one end of the yarn or ribbon to the middle of the paper plate twirler.
Now you hang the twirler from the ceiling to enjoy. My kids brought it outside and had fun watching it twirl in the wind.
