Books About Grandparents for Kids

I was lucky enough to have a wonderful relationship with both my maternal and paternal grandparents. When I lost my grandmother a few years ago, my last living grandparent, it broke my heart every time I remember that I won’t ever walk into her kitchen again and have her there to greet me with something that she freshly baked. I will always treasure every memory I have of the time I spend with my grandparents.

My own kids are very luck because we live not too far from my parents and they get to spend a lot of quality time together.

These books make wonderful gifts for grandparents, as well as gifts from grandparent to their grandchildren. If you live far away from grandparents, you can read these aloud together for a virtual story time. You could even make a video of a grandparent reading aloud a boo to send to grandchildren—a video like this is to become a treasured heirloom.
