RECIPES DIY PARENTING KIDS CRAFTS MAKE MONEY AT HOME
We’ve curated all the best things on sale this month to help you save even more money, whether you’re finishing (or starting) your holiday shopping or looking to score deals on great items for yourself this holiday season.
Electronics
If you missed the Black Friday sales on electronics you can still find some great savings. Many retailers keep leftovers from November’s sales marked down throughout the end of the month.
Toys
Hold off on toy purchases until mid-month. December 10-20 will bring the lowest toy prices as stores try to earn your Christmas shopping dollar. Go ahead and get the must-have items on your wish list, but prepare now to shop those middle two weeks when there will be an increase in toy supply causing a decrease in price! And, don’t wait until the last minute, you will pay the fullest price all year. Remember, you can save as much as 85% off during those two weeks.
Tools and Hardware
Items like drills, wrench and screwdriver sets, lawn tools and more are at their lowest prices this month. If Dad's a handyman you might want to get his Christmas and Father's Day gifts now!
Kitchen Items
December is a great month to get deals on kitchen items, including bakeware, cutlery sets, and cookware. This time of year is popular for cooking and baking, so manufacturers cater to shoppers looking for discounts on various kitchen items starting around Black Friday and throughout December.
Small Appliances
Smaller appliances, such as vacuums, blenders, toasters, and coffee makers, are often discounted during December. The best time to buy is closer to the end of the month, between Christmas and New Year's, but shoppers can find discounts throughout the month. Retailers are looking to make space for newer models, so shoppers may even be able to find deals on open-box items or floor models at the end of the year. And remember, off-season items such as grills are typically much cheaper during the winter.
Baking Supplies
Flour, sugar (white, brown & powdered), baking soda, corn meal, baking powder, cake/cookie/brownie mixes, frosting, chocolate chips, sprinkles, flavorings and extracts, nuts, evaporated milk and more are all at low prices in November and December.
In-season Produce:
Brussels sprouts, Bosc pears, dates, grapefruit, oranges, mandarins, mushrooms, squash, yams, and turnips are all considered "in-season" in December and not only at their peak flavor, but at their lowest prices.
2. Gift Cards
You can score great deals on gift cards in the month of December. Big box stores sell packs of gift cards at 20% off. Restaurants also give away gift cards when you spend a certain amount on gift cards.
Christmas Decorations
Starting the day after Christmas, you’ll see holiday decor, wrapping paper, tree ornaments and more slashed up to 50% in price. Come next year, you’ll be ahead of the holiday shopping before the season even starts.
